About Board Institute

Professionalism belongs in the boardroom

Board Institute’s board education programme is designed to move beyond informal advisory boards, old boys’ networks and family-and-friends boards that lack the necessary expertise. Professional standards must be established at every level of board governance.

Board Institute believes that future board members should be recruited on the basis of their competencies and ability to fulfil the responsibilities of the role. Board Institute is led by the law firm Jackie Phillip & Co., in collaboration with some of Denmark’s most accomplished business leaders, speakers and educators.

The Institute was founded in 2016 in response to growing demand for knowledge of the fundamental aspects of board governance, including a deeper understanding of legal matters, financial reporting, crisis management and strategic planning. The aim is to strengthen participants’ competencies in professional board governance.

The programme combines theory with practical application, providing opportunities to develop your skills alongside experienced business professionals.
