A network built on experience

The best never stop developing

The demands on leaders and boards look different today than they did three years ago. Artificial intelligence is shifting business models. Geopolitics is shifting supply chains. New regulation is shifting responsibility. None of it waits for you to find the time.

For more than ten years, Board Institute has trained some of Denmark’s most committed leadership and board professionals. So we took the natural next step: creating a network where that development continues, for people who want to keep growing as leaders, decision-makers and board professionals.

Who you will meet: Owner-managers, executives, board members and board chairs, investors and experienced specialists. More than 300 members across Copenhagen and Aarhus. What they all share: the ambition to get sharper, and the willingness to use each other to get there.

Admission requirements: As a rule, membership requires completion of Board Institute’s board education. In special cases, other experienced owner-managers, executives and board professionals may be admitted following an individual assessment.

You don’t just go home inspired. You go home with something you can use.

Current leadership and board expertise

Every meeting tackles an issue shaping leadership and board work, from AI and cybersecurity to ownership transitions and capital structure. You get the insight from professionals who work with the subject every day.

Confidential sparring

Real dilemmas require a closed room. Here you can put a difficult situation on the table and get qualified challenge from people who have carried the responsibility themselves.

Curated relationships

The seating plan is never random. Groups and conversations are composed by experience, industry and mutual value, so you sit across from people who are relevant to you.

Practical application

Cases, discussions and tools are chosen so they can be applied directly in your company or boardroom. Knowledge should not merely be understood. It should translate into action.

A lasting professional community

Membership gives you access to members across cohorts, industries and cities, and to the annual New Year Reception, where Copenhagen and Aarhus come together.

It all serves the same purpose: helping you make better decisions and know the people who can help you carry them out.

Meaningful connections, valuable insights

From the first handshake to the final takeaway

Forget random small talk and loose agenda items. The evening is one carefully designed sequence: a talk that challenges you, a dinner with a thoughtfully arranged seating plan, and case work that turns the insights into decisions you can act on the very next day.

17.30

Arrival and curated conversations

The conversations start at the door. We have already thought about who you should meet.

18.00

Expert talk

A distinguished speaker opens the evening’s theme and invites debate, not applause.

18.45

Case work and sparring

The evening’s theme is worked through in small groups, based on real dilemmas, not fabricated examples.

19.30

Dinner

Two-course dinner from the house kitchen. The seating plan is composed by relevance, experience and mutual value.

21.45

Shared reflection

You go home with concrete action points, not just good intentions.

22.00

Thank you and goodnight

Indicative programme, subject to change from evening to evening.

How the groups are composed

Seating and groups are curated before every meeting based on experience, industry and your own preferences. Diversity is a deliberate choice: an owner-manager, a CFO and a chair do not see the same dilemma the same way, and that is precisely the point.

Confidentiality

The conversations take place in a closed room. What is shared at the table stays at the table. That is the precondition for members daring to put their real dilemmas forward, and it is what separates this network from a conference.

Your contribution

The network works because members contribute with experience, dilemmas and honest challenge. You get the most out of it when you put something on the table yourself.
